Measles.
Sixteen deaths were recorded from this disease as compared with
2 in 1914. The mortality was 0.19 per 1,000 of the population, the
mortality in 1914 being 0.02.

The following table shows the number of reported cases of measles occurring each month in the various Wards:—

In 137 cases, or 25 per cent. of the reported cases, no doctor was
in attendance.
The total number of visits and re-visits paid to measles cases
during 1915 by the two lady inspectors was 664.

The amount of disinfection carried out by the Council has
increased enormously in late years. In the near future the Council
will undoubtedly have to consider the reorganisation of the arrangements
and an increase in the disinfecting staff.
