both sexes where they formerly employed one. The Local Government
Board in a letter upon this subject dated 14th June, 1915,
suggested that endeavours should be made to re-arrange things as to
obviate the expense of providing double sanitary accomodation. These
arrangements would be only temporary during the War. This suggestion
was adopted and adhered to.
At the end of 1915 there were 418 workshops on the Register,
of which 31 were domestic workshops. Excluding these, there were
644 males and 760 females employed therein. During the year 737
inspections were made and 24 notices served.
