Since the Bye-laws of the London County Council which
require the deposit of plans and particulars came into operation in
August 1903, 598 plans for the drainage of new buildings and 8255
plans for the alteration and reconstruction of drains in existing
premises have been received.
During 1915, 528 Notices of drainage work were received. 477
of these necessitated the deposit of plans and particulars. 164 related
to the entire reconstruction of the drainage system and in 266 cases
the work was carried out voluntarily.
