many ladies of ease and leisure in the Borough could do
far worse with their spare time than by offering themselves
as visitors to this Society, and thus utilise some of their
spare time in endeavourifig to better the position and encourage
their sisters of the poorer classes whose lines are
not cast in such pleasant places, who are much hampered
by want of knowledge, and who as a rule much
appreciate the kindly visit and sympathy of a suitable
visitor.
