VITAL AND MORTAL STATISTICS, 1910.
POPULATION.
The number of persons estimated to be living at the
•middle of the year is 1 12,935. This estimate is an increase
of 1,921 upon the corresponding figure of last
year. The natural increase of the population during
the year, or the excess of the number of births over
the number of deaths is 1,121, which therefore allows
#00 as the balance of immigrants over emigrants.
As the annual report for this year has to do with
the last year of the intercensal period, it is quite
possible that these estimates of population may have to
be altered in some of their details, but it is thought that
the total for the whole Borough will not be considerably
altered.
The distribution of the population throughout the Borough is as follows:—
Census, 1901. | Estimated Population at middle of year 1910. | |
---|---|---|
East Greenwich | 4:5,8 59 | 51,721 |
West Greenwich | 23,456 | 27,659 |
St. Nicholas | 7,321 | 8,633 |
Charlton | 1 8,065 | 21,293 |
Kidbrooke | 3,069 | 3,629 |
Total | 95,770 | 112,935 |
