These fees, except those for Pulmonary Tuberculosis, are repaid
to the Sanitary Authority by the Metropolitan Asylums Board.
BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS.
The arrangement for the bacteriological examination and report
upon doubtful cases, Diphtheria and Enteric Fever, was renewed
by the Council with Clinical Research Association of Watergate
House, Adelphi, W.C.
The number of examinations made by them during the year
ending 1st January, 1910, was 205; of these 190 were for Diphtheria,
and 15 for Enteric Fever, the result being that 74 were found to be
positive and 131 negative. At a cost of £38 4 0.
