cases had a doctor been called in to attend the patient, the reason given
by the parents being that they were not in a position to pay for medical
attendance.
The sanitary condition of every house in which a case of Scarlet
Fever occurred was thoroughly investigated, and the following defects
were discovered:—
Drains defective 47
Soil pipes defective 31
Water supplies defective 30
Other defects 60
