CONSTITUTIONAL DISEASES.
This group of diseases, which includes, among many others, such diseases as
Rheumatic Fever, Cancer, Phthisis and the allied tubercular diseases, and
Diabetes caused 1,119 deaths, which was 35 above the uncorrected average for the
preceding seven years.
The total deaths numbered 1,119, as against an average of 1,084, and the
resulting death-rate was 3•17 per 1,000 inhabitants.
