Fifty-three of the inquests were held at the Coroner's
Court, Goldsmith Street, and 13 at outlying public hospitals
where the deceased had been taken for treatment.
Thirty of the deaths occurred from different forms of
violence, of these 23 were from accidents.
The following are among the causes of death returned
by the Coroner:—
A doctor of medicine (a professional embalmer) died
from an overdose of chlorodyne.
