HOUSING CONDITIONS.
In a district where so much old property exists, there is need for
constant supervision, and the details given both under " Sanitary
Administration " and in the following tabular statements illustrate the
large amount of work carried through. Considerable time was also
necessarily spent upon a general survey of the Borough with a view to
the ascertainment of any houses which could be represented to the
Council as falling within the scope of either Part I or Part II of the
Housing Act.
