Sanitary Work.
For the Public Health Department, 1932 proved a very unfortunate
year in respect of illness amongst ihe Inspectorial Staff. As a result
it will be observed that there is a considerable drop in the annual
figures as compared with the previous year. If, however, allowance
be made for the period of absence of Inspectors from sickness, the
routine work of the department has been maintained up to the standard
set last year, a "peak" year so far as sanitary inspection work was
concerned. In the circumstances, therefore, it is felt that the work for
the year may be considered to be quite satisfactory.
maintained. This curtailment incidentally shows .itself in the fewer number of notices served and improvements effected.
