So far as the "following up" of contacts, who live in other boroughs,
but who work in Deptford, is concerned, the relaxation of the Ministry's
requirements in the matter of contact supervision, as indicated to the
Boroughs of Poplar and Shoreditch and followed in Deptford, has been
appreciated and has minimised the risk of loss of employment.
Vaccination. No vaccination was performed by the Medical
Officer of Health under the Public Health (Small-pox Prevention)
Regulations, 1917.

Since made compulsorily notifiable, the number of notifications have been as follows:—

In many instances the medical practitioner referred the case to the
Medical Officer of Health and a diagnosis of Small-pox was arrived at.
