In 38 cases no inquests were held, the necessary certificate being
issued by the Coroner after the post mortem examination.
The causes of death were as follows:

17 bodies were left at the Mortuary, after the inquest, to await
burial, there being no accommodation at the respective homes.
4 bodies were detained on account of advanced decomposition, and
2 infectious bodies were similarly detained.
