attendance (otherwise they would be of little use) but the distances of
the clinics, such as Erlam Road and Gosterwood Street, involve loss of
time and considerable walking.
It is work which I think does not always receive the grateful
recognition it deserves, as it is from its nature carried on so quietly and
unobtrusively, and yet is essentially work of the utmost importance,
and which has far-reaching results.
The following table gives the number of cases in which free and
assisted milk was supplied to mothers up to the end of the year:—
