Maternal Mortality.
Seven deaths occurred from accidents and diseases of
pregnancy and six from Puerperal Fever, giving a total of 13
deaths after childbirth. This is equivalent to a rate of 3-0 per
1,000 births, compared with 4*8 in 1931.
Enquiries into all maternal deaths, which were instituted in
1928 at the instance of the Ministry of Health have been continued.
