The number of patients who received institutional treatment
in the special beds allocated by the London County Council
for their Tuberculosis Scheme during 1980 was as follows:—
(a.) In Hospitals for observation 41
(b.) In Sanatoria 864
(c.) In Hospitals for Advanced Cases 26
Total 481
In addition to these many other patients received treatment
in private or general hospitals.
As in former years great difficulty was experienced in
arranging for the institutional treatment of advanced cases.
