In all, six samples (informal) were submitted by reason of
complaints having been received from rate-payers respecting
them.
The samples were three of Butter, one of Cream, one of Milk
and one of Sweets. On analysis all these articles were found to
be normal in every respect, with the exception of the Cream
which was found to contain a trace of Boric Acid.
The adulteration detected during the year amounted to 2.3
per cent. of the total number of samples examined, which is
slightly higher than that returned for 1929, but still remains a
low figure for such a large Borough.
