DISINFECTION.
The total number of disinfections of rooms during the year by the
Council's disinfecting staff was 2,298. Of this number 2,082 rooms
were disinfected after the occurrence of the ordinary notifiable infectious
diseases, and 216 after cases of phthisis.
1,449 verminous rooms were sulphured and otherwise cleansed by
the Council's staff during the year, as against 943 in 1932.
Among the total number of disinfections (2,298) it was found necessary
to strip 17 rooms.
