1,705 adults sent from the various common lodging houses and
other places in our borough were cleansed during the year, as against
1,693 dealt with under the provisions of the Cleansing of Persons
Act, 1897, in 1931.

During the year 234 bodies were received into the Mortuaries:—

During the year Manor Place Mortuary was abolished, and all
bodies are now moved to Collier's Rents, where inquests are held
when necessary.
