During the year 44 retail and 23 wholesale milksellers, whose
premises are outside this Borough, were registered to sell milk in the
Borough of Southwark.
NOXIOUS TRADES.
There are four premises in the Borough upon which noxious
businesses or trades are carried on.

18 inspections of these premises were made during the year.
The periodical process of limewashing and cleansing was duly carried
out.
COWSHEDS.
No cows are being kept in the Borough at the present time.
BAKEHOUSES.
During the year 417 inspections were made of the various bakehouses
and factories.
The following defects were discovered and 22 intimation notices
were served in order to obtain the abatement of the nuisances
complained of:—
Dirty ceilings 18 cases
Dirty walls 17 cases
Defective gutters 1 case
Defective floors 3 cases
Damp walls 1 case
Defective ceilings 1 case
Other insanitary conditions 17 cases
Total 58 cases
All the above-mentioned nuisances were remedied.
Each bakehouse was limewashed or the walls washed as required.
