Several of our young men patients (ages 14—19 years), have been
undergoing treatment, education and training in various trades and in
market gardening, at Burrow Hill Colony, Frimley, Surrey. The scheme
is run by the London County Council in conjunction with the National
Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis. The patients have done
very well but unfortunately it is extremely difficult to find these youths
employment at the end of their training.
The Care Committee has met weekly during the year.
The cordial relations with the London County Council, the Hospitals
the Ministry of Pensions and the General Practitioners have been well
maintained.
Yours faithfully,
J. T. CROWE,
Tuberculosis Officer.
