CUSTANCE STREET.
The extension of above through into Murray Street, and the abolition of the
objectionable passageway known as Princess Alice Passage, is in progress, and will be
formally opened to the public by the Chairman of the Works Committee on the
24th April, 1898.
HYDRAULIC MAINS AND CONNECTIONS.
The applications to lay hydraulic mains have been few, and the desire for
connections to the existing mains has fallen off. The Vestry agreed to grant certain
applications conditionally on compliance with the terms embodied in the agreement
with the Hydraulic Power Company.
