The attack-rate compares very favourably with the record of other places,
for it was not only below the rate for the County of London, but also below
that of any of the six boroughs which surround Islington, with the exception
of Hornsey.

Islington, therefore, has every reason to be well satisfied with this record,
which, taken together with its mortality returns, speaks well for its salubrity
and for its public health administration. The return is also satisfactory
because in no part of the borough was the incidence of these diseases excessive,
as may be judged by the following statements respecting the sub-registration
districts and the wards.
