The amount incurred for lighting, cleaning, and
glazing, including gas, was £2,884 17s. 11d., and
for new lanterns and general repairs, including
painting columns and guard posts on refuges,
£367 17s. 1d. Total—£3,252 15s. 0d.
The amount recovered for damages to public
lamps was £12 10s. 10d.
STREET WATERING.
The Street Watering was done by the Vestry's
staff. Extra horses were hired on 48 days, the
average number being 3.15. The vans were out on
121 days. 4,481,000 gallons of water were used.
