SCHOOLS.
Owing to outbreaks of diphtheria in private
schools, I drew attention to the importance of having
the right to inspect them.
A communication was made by the Council to
the Local Government Board on the subject, and a
reply received to the effect that the point might be
introduced into a future Bill amending or consolidating
the Public Health Acts. I think it very
desirable that such should be done.
