Maternity and Child Welfare.—The work in this Department has
been fully maintained during the past year. Its sphere of usefulness has so far
increased that the Committee, late in the year, decided to increase the accommodation
by building an extra room for consultations; the room now used for
this purpose will, when vacated, be used as a weighing room; this has up to the
present been carried on in a corner of the hall screened off. It is hoped that
when the three rooms are in use the work will be found to run more smoothly.
The District is divided into two portions, a Health Visitor to each portion;
each has a bicycle supplied by the Council.
