No charge is made for the services of the Oculist, but parents whose
income is above the scale previously mentioned have to pay the full cost of the
spectacles.
In a few cases, owing to special circumstances, the Committee have
remitted the cost on the application of the parent.

The prices paid for the spectacles are fixed by contract with a local optician. In July the Committee decided to purchase a stronger frame at an extra cost of 1/3; the prices of new spectacles and repairs are now as follows:—
