H.M. Inspectors being responsible for the sanitation of
factories, the Council's sanitary staff are chiefly concerned with
the inspection of workshops. These are inspected in batches
occasionally, and many other inspections are made casually.
Comparatively few matters have called for report this year,
owing to the fact of there being very little infectious disease
in the district, and many defects in the existing workshops
having been remedied in the two previous years.
The following is an example of the various works carried
out to comply with notices under the Act.
