Diarrhœa and Enteritis were responsible for 5 deaths,
corresponding to a death-rate of .08 per thousand of the
population.
The deaths were distributed through the Wards as
follows: —

Dundonald 1
Trinity 1
South Park 0
Haydon Park 1
South Wimbledon 3
Infantile Mortality.—There were 43 such deaths during
the year (including transferable deaths), or 50 per thousand
registered births, showing a decrease of 26 on last year's rate,
when there were 57 deaths and a rate of 76. The previous
year there were 74 deaths, and the rate was 85. The average
for the past five years is 73.
The infantile mortality rates for the different Wards are
as follows: —

Cottenham Park 52.6
Dundonald 76.08
Trinity 15.2
South Park 51.7
Haydon Park 84.03
Thirteen babies, or 302 per cent. of the total deaths,
failed to survive the first week of life, and 22 the first month.
Notification of Births Act, 1907.—During the year 783
births were notified by the following persons:—Parents 125.
Midwives 548, Doctors 103, and other persons 7
During the same period 869 births were registered.
