Forty-five cases of Influenzal Pneumonia were notified,
corresponding to an attack rate of .7 per thousand of the
population. Ten of these were taken into the Borough Isolation
Hospital, of whom one died.
Measles.—There were two deaths from Measles during the
year, which is equal to a death-rate of .03 per thousand of the
population, as compared with 5 deaths last year and 35 the
previous year, with a death-rate of 09 and .65 respectively.
Eighty-five cases were notified during the year corresponding
to an attack rate of 1.3 per thousand of the population.
Twenty-seven cases of German Measles were notified
during the year which is equal to an attack rate of '4 per
thousand of the population.
Phthisis and other Tuberculous Diseases were the
assigned causes of the deaths of 51 persons (26 males, 25
females) during the year, equal to a death-rate of .85 per
thousand of the population. Last year there were 65 deaths,
and the previous year 73.
The total number of cases notified during the year was
138: —
48 being primary notifications of Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
5 being primary notifications of other forms of tuberculosis.
85 being secondary notifications.
