Of 4 roomed tenements there was overcrowding of 298, representing
2,899 persons, or 2.4 persons per room.
These figures suggest that any further development of building in
Tottenham should be in the direction of providing small house property,
or property letting at a small rent, such as families inhabiting tenements
of one or two rooms can afford.
