Notes to (L.G. B.) Table 1.
The nett rate is the true one, as it represents the
deaths of all Tottenham people, whether they took place
within or without the Parish, and is the rate adopted by
the Registrar-General, non-residents being always allocated
to the district to which they belong.
By the term "Non-Resident," is meant persons brought
into the district on account of illness, and dying there; and
by the term "Resident" is meant persons who have been
taken out of the District on account of illness, and have died
elsewhere.
1.—Institutions within the District receiving sick and infirm persons
from outside the District:—
Prince of Wales's General Hospital, The Green.
Metropolitan Asylums Board (North Eastern) Hospital, St Ann's
Road.
Jewish Home and Hospital for Insurables, High Road.
2.—Institutions outside the District receiving sick and infirm persons
from the District:—
South Mimms Small-pox Hospital.
Edmonton Union Workhouse and Infirmary.
Metropolitan Asylums Board Hospitals (other than North Eastern).
3.—Other Institutions, the deaths in which have been distributed among
the several localities in the District:—
Great Northern Hospital.
Middlesex Hospital.
St Bartholomew's Hospital.
Children's Hospital, Great Ormond Street, W.
Mildmay Hospital.
German Hospital.
