TUBERCULOUS DISEASES OTHER THAN
PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS.
The deaths notified under this heading numbered 33, as
compared with GO last year: the death rate was, therefore,
22 per 1,000. Last year it was .42 per 1,000.
Tuberculous Meningitis caused 20 deaths, and the
following table gives the distribution of the other 13 cases
according to the various organs affected.
General Tuberculosis 3; Kidney and Bladder 2;
Throat 2; Tubercular Peritonitis 2; Mesenteric Glands 1;
Abdominal 1; Dorsal Vertebrae 1; Tubercular Pneumonia 1.
DISEASES OF THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM.
Pneumonia caused 154 deaths, Bronchitis 147, and other
