WHOOPING COUGH.
361 cases of Whooping Cough were notified voluntarily
from the schools.
We have no regular means of ascertaining the
occurrence of Whooping Cough in children under school age,
yet all the deaths from that disease, 10 in number,
occurred in children under 5 years of age, 4 being in the first
year of life.
The death rate per 1,000 of the population was 0'068,
as compared with 0'267 for 1912.
