The expression, flea-bitten, refers to cases in which the number
of flea bites was very great indeed. Itch is an infectious parasitic
disease, and if efficiently treated, a case should be well in a fortnight.
It is therefore unsatisfactory to find that the three cases
which were excluded on account of this condition, took 340 days
or practically three months each to get well.
Nutrition. The following table supplies a record of all those
children noted during medical inspection, whose nutrition appeared
to be below normal:—
