Twenty-six deaths were registered in the District. The nett number of deaths belonging to the District amounts to 25, and this number is made up as follows:-
M. | F. | Total. | |
---|---|---|---|
Deaths registered in the District | 18 | 8 | 26 |
Deaths of Hampton Wick Residents | |||

Deaths of Non-Residents occurring— | |||
(a) By Drowning | 3 | — | 3 |
(b) By Sodden Death in the District | 1 | 1 | 2 |
Total | 4 | 1 | 5 |
Deducting the deaths of Non-Residents from the Complete Total we obtain the Nett Total of all deaths belonging to the District | 15 | 10 | 25 |
This gives a nett Death Rate of 10.34, as against
91 last year and as against 11.67 for the previous ten
years. I have had to recast the Death Rates for previous
years on account of the diminution of the population as
shown by the last Census. When a large population
such as the County of Middlesex increases, one assumes
that the rate of increase is by geometrical progression,
but when a very small population decreases there is no
object in applying such methods to the various years.
