Complete Total191180
Deaths of Non-Residents occurring—
(a) By Drowning33
(b) By Sodden Death in the District112
Total415
Deducting the deaths of Non-Residents from the Complete Total we obtain the Nett Total of all deaths belonging to the District151025

This gives a nett Death Rate of 10.34, as against
91 last year and as against 11.67 for the previous ten
years. I have had to recast the Death Rates for previous
years on account of the diminution of the population as
shown by the last Census. When a large population
such as the County of Middlesex increases, one assumes
that the rate of increase is by geometrical progression,
but when a very small population decreases there is no
object in applying such methods to the various years.
