Of the 200 infants visited 177 (88.5 per cent.) were
breast fed.
Prevalence and Control over Acute Infectious
Disease.
The total number of cases of acute infectious disease
notified during the year was 298, which is equal to an attack
rate of 6.2 per 1,000 of the population; or on the RegistrarGeneral's
figures 6.74, as compared with 245 cases and an
attack rate of 5.3 in 1914. .
Scarlet Fever.
161 cases of Scarlet Fever were notified during the year
with 2 deaths, as compared with 120 cases and no deaths in
1914. 113 cases were removed to hospital ; this equals 70.1
per cent. of the number notified, as compared with 86 cases
and a rate of 71.6 for 1914.
