Births.
These numbered 877, of which 465 were males, and
412 were females. The birth rate was 23.21 per
thousand of the population; that for London was 25.0,
and for England and Wales 24.4.
Deaths.
The number registered in the district was 373 (172
males, 201 females). The death rate was 9.60 per
thousand; for London it was 15.8, and for England
and Wales 14.6.
The number of deaths of residents registered outside
the district was 122 and of non-residents registered in
the district 17 ; the net total number of deaths
for the district being therefore 478. The death rate
was 12.30.
The deaths from the principal zymotic diseases amounted to 66 compared with 25 for the year 19 10, and were attributed to the following diseases:—
