In addition to the above, four cases of Scarlet Fever admitted
into the Hospital from the Urban District of Hanwell, are not
included in this table.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE (NOTIFICATION) ACT.
Under this Act I have received 243 notifications, being an
increase of 159 as compared with last year. The following table
shows the number of notifications received from Medical Practitioners
during the various months of the year. It will be observed that
Ophthalmia Neonatorum, having been made a notifiable disease this
year, is now included.
The highest number of all diseases notified was during the
month of September, when 53 cases were reported.
