MATERNITY AND CHILD WELFARE.
The Infant Welfare work in Beddington and
Wallington shows most encouraging results.
The attendance at the four Centres has been very good,
and I feel sure that the children, and the mothers too, have
largely benefited by their attendance, and the help afforded
them.
It will be seen that 13 children have been sent for treatment
to the Carshalton Cottage Hospital under the Council's
arrangement with that Hospital, while 3 have been sent to
various London Hospitals, and 8 cases have been sent to
Consultants. In two instances, the efforts of your Health
Visitor and myself to secure permanent benefit for children
have had to be supplemented bv the willing and most helpful
co-operation of the local Officer of the National Society for
the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, with most gratifying
results.

Your Health Visitor's work is deserving of the highest appreciation, and the results of her work is evidenced by the high esteem she is held in by all parents.
