On the 10th January a public local enquiry was held following the L.C.C.
application to the Ministry of Health for confirmation of the London County
Council (Ellen Street Nos. 1 and 2) Orders, 1932. This will probably displace
277 persons who are at present accommodated in 41 houses. The lands to
be acquired will be used for rehousing and it is proposed to rehouse 300 persons
on the site.
8 underground rooms were closed on acceptance of undertaking that such
rooms will not be used.
