The foot and carriugv-way pavements have been made good
after removals and alterations of gas and water pipes, in 973
cases.
88 Licences to put up scaffolds and hoardings have been issued,
and the paving, &c. relaid and made good.
Manv of 11 j«• Brick Sewers and the whole of the Pipe Seweis
have been several times flushed by water direct from the ii\ei,
or by the water-carts.
The whole of the .Macadamized Koads and Streets have been
repaired, partly with new granite and with old mattiial fiom
stone-yard and other places.
