XXI.β€” Open Spaces.β€”St. Mary's Churchyard
(North), entrance from Cuthbert Street.
The premises situate 18, Cuthbert Street, having
been purchased as reported last year, and a Faculty
obtained for making an opening at this point into
the Churchyard in lieu of the one closed against the
public by the Trustees of the Hall Park Estate at
the Northern end, they having leased, without consulting
the Vestry, such pathway for building
purposes, a new passageway was formed through
No. 18, Cuthbert Street, and opened to the public
in July last, which, it need hardly be said, has
proved a great boon to the children and others
residing in the vicinity of Hall Park.
