In the Public Institutions in the Parish there were
695 deaths, viz., 56 in the Workhouse, 201 in the
Paddington Infirmary, 62 in the Children's Hospital,
371 in St. Mary's Hospital, and 5 in the Lock
Hospital.
The 56 deaths in the Workhouse—23 males and
33 females, and the 201 deaths in the Paddington
Infirmary—109 males and 92 females—being regarded
as those of parishioners, are included in the 1,590
deaths in St. Mary's Sub-district; 278 of the deaths
in St. Mary's Hospital, 43 of the deaths in the
Children's Hospital, and the 5 deaths in the Lock
Hospital, were of non-parishioners, and are therefore
not dealt with in this Report.
