The proportion of males to females among the
children born in the Parish was 100 males to 92
females, whereas in the Metropolis it was 100 males
to 97 females.
The births were most numerous during the first
and least so in the fourth quarter of the year.
The ratio of births to the entire population of the
Parish was 1 to every 40 inhabitants, or 25.1 per
1,000 inhabitants of all ages.
In St. Mary's Sub-district the ratio of births to
the population was 1 to every 35 inhabitants, or 28.8
per 1,000 living.
In St. John's the ratio of births to population was
1 to 63, or 15.8 per 1,000 inhabitants.
