The corrected number of deaths in the parish from all causes during the corresponding quarter of the years 1877-1886 was as under:—

In the public institutions of the parish there were 164
deaths, viz., 66 in the Workhouse, 7 in the Paddington Infirmary,
12 in the Children's Hospital, 3 in the Lock Hospital, and 76 in
St. Mary's Hospital. The 66 deaths in the Workhouse—39
males and 27 females—and the 7 deaths in the Paddington
Infirmary—5 males and 2 females—being regarded as those of
parishioners, are included in the 439 deaths in St. Mary's Subdistrict.
61 of the deaths in St. Mary's Hospital were of
non-parishioners, as were also 9 of the Deaths in the Children's
Hospital, and the 3 deaths in the Lock Hospital, and are
therefore not dealt with in this report.
In extra parochial hospitals and institutions within the Metropolis, there were 17 deaths of parishioners, as under:—
