houses, which was his proper work, and which he has

Inspector Parsons has uninterruptedly attended to
complaints of nuisances, the inspection of all mewses
and stables, wharves on the canal, offensive trades,
marine stores, cow-sheds and slaughter houses.

A Sanitary Report of the work of the past year
would not be complete without mentioning that a
Report was made on houses of Courts on the North
side of Harrow Road, in which it was stated that these
tenements were most of them unfit for human habitation,

the Artizans' Dwelling Act; nor ought it to be forgotten

out the Provisions of the Acts to establish Public Baths
and Wash-houses in this Parish. This is the true
foundation of Public hygiene, and without which all
other sanitary agencies are comparatively insignificant.
