[Report of the Medical Officer of Health for Limehouse]

drains to premises. 147 houses (including 31 new ones) and other
buildings have been connected with the sewers, and the following works
executed in connection therewith, viz.:—
80 feet of 12-inch pipe drains laid.
258 „ 7-inch do.
5,240 „ 0-inch do.
1,500 „ 4-inch do.
130 Closet pans and traps fixed.
151 Sinks and traps fixed.
38 Cesspools cleansed and filled up.
PAVING.
New footway paving has been laid down in the following streets and
places, viz.:-
Limehouse.—A portion of the south side of Commercial Road,
opposite Regent's Canal Basin. The new street in Limehouse Fields.
South side of Ropemakers' Fields, in lieu of the paved crossing which
has been removed. The defective parts of the "Mitre." The north
footway of Salmon lane, opposite Mercers Terrace.
Ratcliff.— Portions of Salmon Lane, Brook Street, and the footway
on the north side of Cable Street, from Devonport Street to
hardinge Street.
Old footway paving has been relaid as follows:—
Limehouse..—Part of the footways next forecourts of houses in
Cotton Street and Arthur Street. Portions of North Street. A portion
of Rich Street, opposite the "Lord Hood." A portion of Salmon Lane,
opposite Mr. Elsom's premises.
Ratcliff.—part of west side of Belgrave Street, George Street,
