Manholes were built on existing sewers at the following
places:—
Brookdale Road 1

*Those marked with an asterisk are small manholes adjoining
flushing tanks.
During the year the following quantities of disinfectants
were used for flushing sewers, drains and gullies, for disinfecting
dust bins, and giving away to poor people:—
Permanganate of Potash 6 cwt.
Manganate of Soda 6 cwt.
Sanitas Powder 47 tons.
Sanitas Fluid 324 gallons.
Jeyes' Fluid 540 gallons.
Lawes' Fluid 160 gallons.
