Plan No. 1, for obtaining ilie water rights and doing away
with the obstruction altogether.
Plan No. 2, for widening the storm water overflow 12 feet,
deepening it 3 feet, and widening the water-course leading from
the weir, and extending the weir 30 feet. This will discharge a
large quantity of additional water in time of floods, and was the
plan recommended to be carried out (Min., 1870, Page 31G).
Plan No. 3 was for extending the weir and widening the
water-courses leading from the same.
These propositions were submitted to Messrs. Stanton, and
are now under their consideration. A great many plans and
reports have been prepared during the year, and letters, &c.,
written. I append to this report a list of the New Streets
sanctioned by the Metropolitan Board of Works.
